  1. Back up all apps using Titanium Backup.
  2. Back up all contacts and SMS to SD Card.

Steps to Install sGs II ROM on Samsung Galaxy Ace

  1. Download the zip file from the link in the requirements section.
  2. Place the zip file in the root of your SD card without extracting its contents.
  3. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery. To do this, turn off your phone and press Home button + Power button.
  4. Use volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select an option in the recovery mode.
  5. Select Wipe Cache Partition
  6. Select Wipe Data/Factory reset
  7. Select Advanced>Wipe Dalvik cache
  8. Now to flash the ROM, select Install zip from sdcard>Choose zip from SD Card
  9. After the ROM is flashed, go back and select Reboot system now

In this way you can make Samsung Galaxy Ace look like Samsung Galaxy S2 using sGS II custom ROM.

      Flash the stock ROM or make a nandroid backup in recovery which can be restored if you want to go back!

    i did not backup now i want to go back to 2.2.1 froyo. but when i download and install the 2.2.1 rom it show installation aborted.

      Flashing a ROM via Recovery requires USB Debugging enabled. If it was not successful, you could have possible downloaded a corrupted file!

    very nice, just one problem, i miss 2 icons on the dock, in the midle, they’re just not there. is it nessesary to wipe data?
