As Apple is the centre of so much attention over the possible shape of its iPhone 5, we’ve decided to take a look at five of the most unique and best looking mobile phones in the market at the moment.
HTC Incredible S
HTC have added a few nice tweaks to the HTC, its rubber back is nice to hold and gives the impression of it being sturdier that it already even is. Beside its mountain goat like strength it’s also got one particularly nice detail at the bottom of its front log glass screen – the touch buttons along its bottom not only turn off when the screen does, but also turn when it’s placed in horizontal mode. It’s a nice touch ad gives the Incredible S a little something extra. You can also have a look at our review of HTC Droid Incredible 2.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
The Arc is a pretty handset by all accounts – aptly named the Arc because of the bend in its super thin back. The 4.3in device is not only quite pretty it’s also a tiny 8.7mm thick. It manages this by curving slightly at the back between the excellent EXMOR R powered camera at the top and its battery at the bottom. It feels lovely in the hand and is a bit of a looker. LG Optimus 2x
The Optimus sports LG’s beautiful minimalist monolithic style that is used on all their phones as well as being only a super thin 10.9mm. It’s a pretty device when off or on and has a speedy dual core processor ensuring it is not just a pretty face. Here is a review of LG Optimus 3D which is the world’s first 3D Smartphone
Apple iPhone 4
What can we say, the iPhone 4 is the face that launched a thousand designs, well maybe a couple of dozen. Its sleek industrial design, nice mix of aluminium and glass and instantly recognisable home button mean any list of phones would not be compete without this aesthetic powerhouse. It feels amazing in the hand and its screen looks like nothing else due to the retina screen.
Though only available in China, the Lephone is a beautiful piece of kit. Its rounded edges and curves make it the most attractive Android device of the last 12 months. Its curves extend to its snap-on full keyboard, which is also curved, though takes a little getting used to. It’s almost like a lady’s makeup box in some ways, but is certainly a masterpiece and worth a look on the Internet even though it cant’s be bought in Europe or the USA.
What do you think must have been included in the list?
